Spring Tramp 2020: Ōrongorongo Track

On Tuesday 8th December Taupō Syndicate will walk the Ōrongorongo Track in the Remutaka Forest Park. It consists of a 4 hour round trip with a swim in the Turere Stream during the lunch break. It's an easy grade.

We will need parent help to transport our students over to Catchpool Valley. Catchpool Valley is 12 km south of Wainuiomata.

Students and parents will need to meet at school at 7:30am where teachers will do a roll call with their own class. Then at 7.45am the syndicate will head to the Catchpool Valley car park to arrive at approximately 9.00am.

Students will need to bring a substantial lunch/drink bottle, suitable shoes for walking on stones/rocks, clothing to suit changeable weather conditions, togs and towel, a brimmed hat and sunscreen.

We will be in contact on the morning of Tuesday 8th December if the trip is cancelled due to unsuitable weather conditions.

Ngā mihi maioha,

The Taupō Team :)
