Beach Education Program Trip- Hongoeka Syndicate Week 2 Term 1 2020
Dear Parents/ Carers,

As part of our water safety program, Hongoeka syndicate will take part in a Beach Education program, run by Surf Life Saving New Zealand at Paekakariki Surf Life saving club.

The program is a full day at the beach and students will take part in both theory and practical surf safety lessons. Students will take a tour of the clubrooms, learn about rips and how to escape them, sun safety and will take part in water activities. The trip is also a chance for teachers and children to get to know each other.

The trip will cost $18.

Children will need a packed lunch, a drink bottle, sunscreen, togs/ wetsuit and towel.

Below, is the date that your child will be attending their Beach Education program:

Tuesday 11th February - Room 21 and Room 23
Wednesday 12th February - Room 19 and Room 20
Thursday 13th February - Room 22

We will need to leave school at 9:00am where we will travel to Paekakariki Surf Club and we will return to school at 3:00pm. Each class will require at least 5 parents to help and all parent helpers will need to be prepared to go into the water.  If you are able to help, please fill in the form below.
